I have been prescribed Gaviscon and an anti histamine, fexofenadine, to help with the various problems with coughing, no don't smoke, acid reflux, etc, but on label of AH is says do not take indigestion remedies at the same time.
I am advised to take both at night before bed, and i did, but had the worse nights sleep for an age. It might not be connected but feel pretty awful this morning.

I do know that some medication doesn't work well or should not be taken with things like Gaviscon (indigestion remedies) and if it says so on the antihistamine label I'd definitely not take both together. so I'd really look it up to find out to see what you can find. Hope you feel better later.
If you want to talk to someone direct (and not your GP) go and discuss it with your pharmacist at the local chemist. They will be happy to advise, and should be up to speed with latest reports about side effects and contra-indications - which medicines can be taken with others without (generally) any adverse side effects.
KM not sure i confess, but there is an area that is sore, without making everyone feel a bit ugh, a band around upper ribcage, like having an old fashioned rubber ring around, its very tender to the touch and in parts it more than hurts. And the digestive tract has been a problem for so long now, had thought that with all the meds that i have ingested it would ease but it doesn't. The gaviscon is vile, who came up with that as any kind of remedy, some torturer from the deep no doubt.
