Ric - very many congrats - I bet you are as made up as I am. Grannydom is really rather pleasant isn;t it??!!

Sqadlet - babe's breathing is normal. It was the shock & trauma of the ventouse delivery, and fluid on the lungs. All resolved. Baby very pink now (and with a very red head underneath all the black hair!!!). Oh, and beautiful. ;-)

Mum had 3 blood transfusions - Hb of 7, but now back up to 10.

hi salla, sorry to hijack your thread, so good to hear you again and with such brilliant news xxxx
Thanks salla........I was concerned.

Hb 10....she can live with that.;-)
i had a ventouse delivery , my daughter Katie was facing the wrong way and was unable to come out, Very stressfull for the baby,I remember katie looking very abnormal due to a cone head, but it did not take long for the scull to go back down, congratulations salla.
"she can live"

that's good news...
Josaphine, my daughter was the same - spine to spine and got stuck. They tried the ventouse and it broke! They ended up using forceps. Worst of it was, she ended up with a massive bruise covering her whole head which looked like a Hitler hairdo ;)
