If an artist painted my likeness, at my convenience, it would be entitled
'The Relief of Lady Mafeking' ☺

Thank you - I like you too, alba xx
I think it`s something to do with falling estrogen levels. I don`t think there is much you can do apart from taking HRT.
I don't think men have any way as near as much bladder problems as women, fortunately.

It must be hell being a woman sometimes.
Looks as if this is a thing we all suffer from. Plus I have to take a water tablet each morning, as if it wasn't enough. If I am going out I do not take the tablet until I come back, just in case. Little pads are very useful too. Never thought I would be like this.

Oh dear - does Ed have bladder weakness too?

I am currently off the diuretics, but it does not seem to have made any difference to output levels:(

I don't have sound-proofing around my loo, but I'm glad I don't need to measure the flow from my teens or my OH, who seems a little slow :)
Word of warning Alba - don't go on a trampoline. A colleague was telling me today how she ended up on one after a drink or two. Within about a minute she thought that not only was she going to wet herself, but that she'd had some sort of prolapse ;)
Question Author
I'm the biggest wimp for not going on a trampoline, even 40 years ago when i was pre-2digits :) I might re-register as the Tenna-lady. Sorrry Ed, I won't, what ya see is what ya get :D In between loo visits.

Seriously tho, what sort of operation could happen?
alba, i think you have missed the most common cause for your " issue " early pregnancy !
I have stress incontinence and have been sent to a women's health physiotherapist. I too have done the usual pelvic floor excercises but apparently these aren't enough. The first time I saw her, she took my history and gave me an exercise to do for a couple of weeks. The next time I had to have an internal examination to determine the strength of the muscleat the bladder opening and was then given a set of exercises, a specific scientific programme. I have been doing these for about 6 weeks and have noticed a difference. Obviously will be an ongoing, permanent thing but things looking good. Due for a review in a week.
By the way, the stopping and starting the flow of urine is not a good thing. It's ok to try once in a while to check the muscle strength but not frequently as it doesn't help the muscle.

Just laugh and get on with it but make sure you are using Tena. It could be worse
