You have to look at the bigger picture. People pee on each other, whip each other, go dogging, feltching...and lots more of dirty things.

Sex during menstruation is fairly minor.

As Boo says each to their own and echoing Ummmm there is no end of acts that people are prepared to engage in that could be considered far yukkier to some. I'm not saying certainly not but it's just making something messy even messier.

Just to clarify, I said "not for me" as during that time of month, I generally feel like crap, and got cramps, the last thing im feeling is sexy!

Minor...as in many women don't like having sex during their period. Some men find it distasteful. Others prefer it....each to their own.

There is a religious connotation amongst the abramic religions that women are ' unclean' during menstruation, which is just another way of making sure women were always socially at a disadvantage ( mother of sin etc) and therefore inferior in some way.
As for myself it doesn't offend me in the least, in fact nothing consenting adults do does.

From a male perspective, it feels very funny - sort of empty in there.

Very much a personal thing for the female - beso's point about cramps is true - had an old gf who loved sex during her period for that very reason and that she was usually "turned on"

The Bbile describes menstruation as "unclean" in a derogatory way.

Curiously, a woman is considered "unclean" for twice as long if she gives birth to a girl as compared to a boy. Religion does have a penchant for arbitrary and often sexist judgement.

NOX is right, and just just religion. Over here in Ibiza, for many years menstruating women were not allowed to make mayonnaise, as it was thought that they would curdle it! I always buy mine in jars.
