My daughter gave up smoking about 6 weeks ago and has done brilliantly, but for the last week she has been a bit down and restless and I wondered if this could be down to not smoking.Has anyone else experienced this.

I was an emotional wreck for about a week when i quit but soon got over it. Everyone will react differently to it. Good luck to her.

She's been fine up till this week but I suppose something has to give.I'm so pleased for her and will support her all the way.
Yes, at times it did affect me like that from time to time during the first few months - but I'm so glad I persevered, it's 28 years now.

I know what she is going through, restless, irritable, unable to sleep properly.
Ime in year 7 of not smoking, for me it was the first six months to adjust. If
you have a quit smoking clinic at your GP's surgery they are very helpful. Tell
her to stick with it, I do 6 miles of hill cycling each day now I could never have
done that 20 years ago as a smoker. Best of luck to her.
my hub was worst between weeks 6 - 9. He gave up three years ago and I am soooooproud of him. Give your daughter as much support as poss.
