Go to Gp or hospital.
This sounds muscular........have you been doing any unaccustomed exercise....lifting etc?

Take ibuprofen 400mgms up to every six hours if necessary and monitor the situation over the nest 24-48 hours.

You should try to rule out gall bladder problems

Symptoms of Gallbladder Inflammation (Acute Calculous and Acalculous Cholecystitis)
Between 1 and 3% of people with symptomatic gallstones develop inflammation in the gallbladder (acute cholecystitis), which occurs when stones or sludge block the duct. The symptoms are similar to those of biliary colic but are more persistent and severe. They include the following:

///Pain in the upper right abdomen that is severe and constant, and may last for days. Pain frequently increases when drawing a breath.///
rov....it only started yesterday.........!

thankyou. but the pain is more around the side of my body not on the front.
I had the same thing last Autumn. The day before I'd dragged bagfuls of leaves down the garden. Didn't hurt at all while doing it then woke up with the pain. It lasted about a week or so but gradually went.
