Just thought I would share this. I had a tear in my retina, (cause unknown). I had laser surgery today, which I was really dreading. I can honestly say it didn't hurt and although a bit uncomfortable, was nothing compared to what I had imagined it would be like. I have to go back next week to have it checked.
Aye I've had that also. But I think it was in a position they found hard to get to, for me. Took a while before they sorted it to their satisfaction. Not pleasant, but bearable though. Didn't have much time to dread mine, was checked at the hospital for all the floaters, and it ws a case of, "We'll do that here and now !"
Thanks Nibbles.
OG - that is what happened to me. However, the optician didn't do the referral as urgent, so I didn't know it could have been serious, until I got to outpatients a month later! The specialist bloke was not happy with that, and I will be having words with the optician! I've always had a thing about eyes too.
Just returned from the latest trip to the hospital. I have to go back tomorrow for some more laser treatment. I'm dreading it even though I now know what to expect. Hopefully this will be the last time. But why am I dreading it so much when it doesn't hurt?
