Problem with my eye

I've been having issues with only one of my eyes for a while now and I'm hoping one of you lovely people can help me?
Firstly, it feels like there is something in it all the time, although there is not.
Secondly, I have hundreds and hundreds of floaters. So many that it's like looking through a net curtain.
Lastly, things seem slightly more black and white through it.
Pressure testing is fine and apparently there is no retinal detachment.
Any clues what this could be please and will it go away?

I have something similar and went to A&E last weekend, fearing I had a retinal tear. I have been diagnosed as having Posterior Vitreous Detatchment, which means some of the jelly in the eye is leaking. I have been told it is self healing but could take months.
It is driving me insane as it is like having a swarm of flies in front of one eye, so you have my sympathies

york310.....is the man for this, but as you describe the retina as being intact and the intraocular pressure normal, then i assume tha tyou have seen an Ophthalmologist.
Floaters are quite common, can be in both eyes or one eye and are due to degenerative change with small leakage of blood in some cases....wear and tear.
Almost certainly they will disappear over time.........

Most eye floaters are there to stay, so if you have so many that your vision is impaired, perhaps you should see your GP to see if an appointment with an ophthalmic surgeon is indicated, especially as there is a change in colour perception and the eye does not feel normal.

The first symptom you mention is most likely to be a dry eye issue which can present with foreign body or grittiness, sometimes along with watering, burning or stinging eyes. People often complain of intermittent blurring more often with concentrating tasks which clears on blinking.
The net curtain and floaters which you are experiencing are most likely to be a posterior vitreous detachment (PVD)as said previously but I hope this has been investigated fully to exclude retinal detachment or retinal tears. Your practitioner should have dilated your pupils with eye drops to look for signs of retinal trauma. if this was not done seek a second opinion ASAP.
