Biopsy on breast lump.
5 Answers
Hi all, I posted a while back re my appointment at the hospital to get a scan on a breast lump. Thank for replies peeps.
So, I am due back tomorrow for the follow up appointment (the Dr said to get an appointment 6 weeks along if the lump was still there. It is.)
The Dr had said that I would be examined again then they would make a decision wether a biopsy would be required. The lump is the same so Im guessing he will decide to go ahead. Does anyone know wether I will get the biopsy tomorrow or will a further appointment be made for it?
I hate the waiting. Also how long do results usually take?
Thanks

The first one the surgeon did after examining me, before my scan, and the second one the radiologist did while she was doing an ultrasound.
I only ever had one appointment. The first time I rang for the results a few days later I think, the second one they said to wait and I got them on the same day.
Both harmless fibroadenomas (did I get it right this time sqad? ;)).
