Addisons???

I'm a usually fit and healthy 36 year old until 4 weeks ago.
It started with me feeling run down, sore throat, fever etc.
A week after initial symptoms I felt extremly tired, low blood pressure making me feel faint and getting cold blue hands, thirsty and little appitiate. People have also mentioned I look tanned!!
Doctor done blood tests for mono, strep, blood count, kidney and liver function.
All came back ok.
This all happened to me last year too and took 2 months to get back to full health.
I feel I need to know what's going on so I can treat or prevent it happening again.
When I look at symptoms online it comes up with addisons. I'm at doctors in 2 days and wondering if I should suggest testing for this or will I look like an idiot???
Please give your opinion if you have any experience of addisons.

That is against the diagnosis of Addison's Disease, which takes months or years of ill health before diagnosis'

Addison'e disease is extremely uncommon and the main symptom is an extreme desire for salt.....salt on chips, salt on steaks...... almost an obsession for salt.

You can Google the symptoms yourself.

The diagnostic feature is a low blood sodium level and this may well have been done i the kidney tests that you have had which cam back normal.

Ask you doctor if that will reassure you but the chances of you having this disorder is remote.

A close relative has it and it got very serious before he was diagnosed. He went into a crisis and very unpleasant symptoms and was very ill very quickly and was in a coma in intensive care in hospital and they didn't think he would make it through the night.

It is rare. I'm sure there was a lady in the local news recently who found out after getting worked up at Man Utd matches because of the stress/cortisol issue reaction (I think).

Don't think I'll mention addisons when I go to the doctor but I may ask what my sodium level was. So thanks for pointing that out.
I'm just puzzled why I feel like this and feel helpless with how to treat it!
