Bruising and Tender Skin

Some of you may remember that nearly 8 weeks ago I tripped over and bashed my knees. I ended up attending the local 'Walk-In' centre after a week because one knee was still very sore and and the lower leg very swollen. I was given a course of antibiotics, which worked a treat. The bruising travelled down my leg and is still present on the top of my foot just behind my toes. Is it a) normal to take so long for the bruising to go and b) normal for the skin on my lower shin and around my ankle to still be tender to touch?

Oops, sorry! ...there even! So it can go on for a while. Worth getting it checked out with a swollen leg and if there was need for antibiotics. Did they get it x-ray'd?
still haven't found it in the bed one morning then?
i would say it's completely normal

nope bednobs - its still attached to my foot - keep looking under the duvet each morning though!
Seems a long time, but within normal limits.....JUST.

It would seem that there may well be developing a degree of cellulitis (infection) and although there is no urgency, I would let your GP have a look at it.
