Some progress! Saw a doctor and my nurse this morning after the really bad flare last Friday and they did an ultrasound of my hands (as still a bit swollen) and could see disease activity on there despite the high dose of steroids so I'm being started on methotrexate.

Had my bloods and chest xray today so once cleared and I have a pnumococcal (?) vaccination then I can start on it. They are also tapering me off the oral steroids so still on Prednisolone for now but hopefully that will bridge the gap a bit.

They've also prescribed me Pregabalin to help with the fibromyalgia pain and tiredness. Physio have found my lost notes finally so my new physio now knows the good accupuncture points my old one was using (she went off sick suddenly and is on long term leave now), in the joints right by the spine (?) rather than further along the muscles for the rhomboids in particular so hopefully back on track with that as the ones she did the time before just seemed to aggravate it - she put some needles on a TENS machine this week too.

Hopefully on the way to less pain, fingers crossed!
