Having a rough time reflux disease and trapped nerve

I have been having chest pain left side for 2 days now stabbing pain left nipple I went to doctor and she thinks I have got reflux disease and put me on omezaprole 20mg twice a day, I burp all the time when the pain is there and it goes but Ive had pins and needles in the back of my neck and shoulder. She thinks it is a trapped nerve called a compressed ulnar nerve and to take painkillers and diazepam. But I am just wondering would GERD go on as long as this? I had white pudding and chips at 9pm on monday night. I think that might be itl. but in a way I am relived that heart problems would probably not go on as long.
