Capsaicin Cream

Evening all,
My son has just been prescribed Capsaicin cream to add to his pain relief arsenal. He has a rare, painful bone condition. Have any of you experience of this and how long before you felt the benefit?

At work a lady who dislocated her shoulder but as she is palliative care and unlikely to survive a surgical procedure they have left it dislocated. She is presrcibed this three times a day and it seems to work for her. I can't say she is fighting fit because she is very frail but it seems the shoulder is the last of her complaints.
