I had a shake for brekkie, lunch, and a shake for tea. I didnt bother with the lght meal at tea time......it work, i lost 7lb in a week, and keep losing it, till i got into my bad habits again....beware if you eat unhealthy after this the weight will creep up with a mission to make you fatter than you were when you started, so be vigilant when on this plan and drink plenty of water or sugar free squash..good luck...i know how you feel ;-)
I joined Weight Watchers or there are other slimming clubs you could join. You need to go every week and stay to listen to the lecture (half an hour, not long). If you have an enthusiastic tutor she will transfer her enthusiasm to you. There is no easy way. You have to eat what they tell you. I only aim at losing one pound a week. It is a long job and you have to have patience. The other members of the club are also very supportive. It is not easy. Good luck in losing weight. Do not allow chocolates in any form, or cakes, biscuits or crisps or in fact any junk food to come into your house. I can hardly stress the fact enough that it is not easy. You are a food addict, as am I, and you have to accept the fact and fight it.
The only way to lose weight is to eat fewer calories and do more exercise. It's not fast but it's long term. I know which I prefer.
I lost 3 and 1/2 stones in weight. It took 14 months and I still fluctuate a little but I always remain somewhere around the weight I want to be.
I had 1500 calories a day and an hour of exercise.
I'm afraid that sitting watching telly while sipping a protein shake just isn't going to cut it.

More recent research demonstrates that low calorie does not work. The body when starved will hold on to weight. It's a combination of hormones and the body being programed to behave a certain way.
Read Gary Taubes " Why We Get Fat and What to Do About It"...totally groundbreaking, and fascinating science.
Cut out processed foods, white carbs, sugar and even wheat. Eat as fresh as possible.

It always makes me chuckle when people say that the weight goes back on when you come off the diet and start eating 'normally'. If you don't change your eating habits FOR EVER then of course the weight will go back on. It was eating 'normally' that made them fat in the first place (and several other places) of course the weight will go back on. And yes, I'm overweight but trying to do something about it.
After years of yoyo dieting and trying every product and slimming club around, a friend announced he had joined Slimming World. I couldn't get on with their diet a few years ago because of the Red and Green days. However they now have a third diet plan called Extra Easy. Our friend invited us round for curry, which we all love and announced at the end that what we had eaten was all Freefoods. I was amazed and joined. I lost over 3 stone and have kept it off for over 2 years and still use the recipes because I prefer them. I "batch cook" and always have slimming world meals in the freezer. I also started exercising and as a result I am slimmer and much fitter and I'm in my 60s. Like someone already said, you have to change your eating habits. I am never hungry like on other diets.
2 weeks and 3 days??? body not gone into starvation mode then.
i have joined slimming world too and am really happy with the plan as i know that, whatever weight i lose week to week, it's healthy. i have far more energy than previously and its a plan that i can, and will, stick to for the rest of my life.
If there were magic products that you could buy to help lose weight don't you think every person with weight issues would be on them? (and that therefore there wouldn't be anybody with weight issues). Find a healthy diet, not starvation (i got gallstones from having one meal a day for a while - not for diet purposes - stress led to complete loss of appetite). anyway best of luck with whatever you decide - but please don't try anything drastic - i know plenty of people who have lost 7lb in a week following slimming world, which is so healthy and fulfilling!
