Lower back and results are wear and tear in joints I use to do lots of exercise 6 classes a week which included spin, kettlecise, quite physical exercise and im now at a loss to think what exercise I can do without causing more damage I don't like swimming or anything to do with water I have always liked doing the more strenuous type of exercise any ideas which exercise would be best for me now?
I know you say you dont like anything to do with water but hydrofit would be brilliant for you as the water takes 70% of your body weight, you wear a floating belt around your midrif to keep you upright and use dumbells for arm muscles, this would keep you fit without the strain on your joints.....
I used to do a lot of sport in my youth .In fact up until I was pushing 50 I still played squash .
I was then suddenly laid very low with rheumatoid and consequently now have severe osteoarthritis .
More physical exercise isn't the answer .More "gentle " exercise probably is .
I know you say you don't like water but quite honestly swimming is good and walking .Yoga perhaps or pilates .
All this jumping about just puts more strain and wear and tear on already damaged muscles and joints .There is a limit to how much your joints can take :)
