Macular Hole Surgery - after care
8 Answers
I had macular hole surgery in 2006 and had to stay in the face-down position for a week afterwards. To help me during that week, I hired a horseshoe shaped piece of equipment from a company in Charfield, South Gloucestershire.
A friend is now due to have the same operation & I am advising her to hire the same piece of equipment, which proved absolutely invaluable to me, but I cannot find a website for the Charfield company or a telephone number.
I think it may have been Medical Equipment & Supplies, Unit 3, Manor Farm Buildings, Churchend Lane, Charfield, S. Gloucestershire. I can only find this company & address referred to briefly on another site but no phone number.
Can anyone help me further or does anyone live in Charfield who may know if the business exists there?
Help urgently needed. Thank you.

My husband has now found (in the depths of his filing cabinet) some paperwork from the time that I had my macular hole surgery. The company at Charfield was strangely called The Massage Table Store but we see that it has now moved from there to Birmingham. Anyway, I have enough information to post to my friend. The piece of equipment is a Vitrectomy Unit.
