I just read on another thread about your missing dog.

Have you registered with Doglost?

http://www.doglost.co.uk/

As your pup is chipped there is a very good chance of getting it back.... you need to make him too hot to handle right now, go and register on there and your area helper will tell you what you need to do, there will be hundreds of members willing to help you with a poster campaign etc

Very good advice and very thoughtful of you, Lisa.

I hope they're reunited soon.
I hope canine and human can be together very soon.
Me too - I know how we felt with our Rover at large last year.
i concur with the above.

let us hope, tamborine, that you and your beloved companion are back together very soon.
Oh, wishing you find your pet asap

The rule of thumb is that the dog will have to go to a vet at some point so a chipped dog should/will be checked its chip upon registering at a new vet.
If the dog has been stolen then the chances are is will be sold on to some unsuspecting 'punter' who will then take it too the vet, but like I said it has to be made too hot to handle.... posters, contact all local vets etc.
Thats the best thing about Doglost, they will make sure every angle is covered!
