Witnessed A Ladies Death Today :(

Hi everyone, today has been a sad day!
I was in my local council offices today, a lady sat near my husband and was waving at my baby, and he was waving back.
Next thing, she appears to have some sort of fit, making snoring type noises and collapses.
The council staff all got up and were staring saying to each other what do we do? Should I call an ambulance, but 2 members of the public were trying to help her, lay her down but no council staff did!
The lady then stopped breathing, a first wider happened to walk in and found the lady had no pulse and started CPR, the ambulance took a good 8 minutes if not more.
They were working on her for quite a while bless her.
I thought public places were supposed to have Dfibs, so that emergency heart shocking can be given in the time frame that it needs to be for a better outcome for the person.
I don't kno if it would have made a difference to this lady but I kno shopping malls and supermarkets have them.
They put up screens and his her and the staff doing CPR as best as could be, was just so sad! She was playing with my son then the next second she died!

Sherri - think of it this way. Perhaps no-one could have helped. Perhaps it was just "her time"
I tell you what, apart from causing concern to onlookers, that's a pretty good way to go. A smile on your face and joy in your heart. If I was one of her family a letter from you would comfort me no end. Perhaps that's why you were there, to witness that the last few minutes of her life were happy ones.

Sherri, this is a sad and depressing experience for you. But, console yourself knowing that the lady most likely died happy, and her time had come and that's the way she had to go.

Thanks everyone, ive seen people after they have passed, my mum, nan, dad, also helped to wrap a lady when I was working as a HCA in hospital, but to actually see the life drain out of her, was just frightening, her lips went blue so fast! Watching death occurr is the scariest thing I've ever witnessed, I wasn't too close about 10 ft away hubby was right nxt to her, our baby is only 11 months so would have no idea.
Makes you think of your own mortality big time! When u think of death it is a scary thought but to see it makes you think Sugar, this is what happens.
I'm an anxious person and its quite freaking me out! I watched this lady die, never will she walk on this earth again, quite hard to take in really.
I kno I'm thinking on this way too much, I care too much, my husband says I need to put myself first more, I'm even vegan (well almost, I'm struggling to say no to eggs and chocolate) because I love animals so much!
I really want to write to this ladies family, now, when they need comfort the most, in these days of anguish, let them know people cared and tried to help, how she was so happy playing with my son.

Can you ask in your local council about this lady, make some conversation, anything, and see if they might know a bit about her like her name or where she lived and then you could take it from there. This is a long shot but you might get some closure on this matter. All the best. x

Thanks, I am going to the council Monday with yet another complaint about a repair that needs doing in my house. So I will ask there if there is any way I can find out who she was x
