Compensation For Missed Appontment
I have a Homecare policy with Briish Gas. I made an appointment for an engineer call last week for today between 12 and 6pm. at 4:30 they cancel. This was not the first time this has happened with me so I had called at around 1pm to make sure it was still happening and they told me it was. I have now had to rearrange a visit for next week. The keep saying they cant guarantee keeping any appointment but whats the point of a system like that? Am I able to claim any comoensation for the wasted time?

What do the Ts&Cs of your contract say?
And, how would you feel if your Boiler was halfway through being fixed when the technician packed up his tools and announced that he had to get to another customer???? Some problems are more complex than others and require longer to be resolved.

For a missed appointment, you're entitled to £20.
We had an appointment to have our electric meter changed a while ago, by United Utilities. They actually missed 3 (yes 3 !!!!) appointments. We got £60 paid into our gas/electric account.
