Go to local pharmacist...ask them to jab you... lots of them have consulting rooms now...

Yes......just.

I know of no allergy test that can be done with capillary blood (pin prick) so i don't score well on that count.

I am sure that if you went to the chemist, they would have some needles available.

Also, if you have a friend who is a diabetic, then that would solve your problem.

Its called Food Detective - hope it's ok!!
Well sally.....I don't think that there is any scientific evidence at all for diagnosing food allergies by blood tests.

Dam - whats the best way to find out?
cutting certain food groups from your diet for a specific period of time - not sure how long for. google it.....x
elimination diet.
The best way to find out if a food disagrees with you is to keep a diary, then gradually eliminate the culprits, if problems persist try another food and so on. Trial and error not magic.
There are food elimination tests that can be done and then the foods introduced one by one.
My advice would be to see either your GP or a dietitian.
I'm sure some of the allergies they say I have came up via blood tests initially (eg horse - they are very right with that one!), from bloods they took at my pre-op, testing for latex allergy etc... They then did the skin prick ones with lots of different allergens.

That was via the immunology dept at the hospital.
sorry, I hit enter too soon. Seriously if you think you are allergic to one thing then just cut it completely out of your diet and see what happens. It can take as long as 2 months to have any effect. If you feel that you are allergic to something and don't now what, then you stick to a diet of things that you KNOW you are not allergic to. If you aren't sure then you eat a really plain diet like rice and water and one source of protein (honest)
Jenna where they food allergies though?

Thank you all - I have a feeling it may be wheat so that will be my first attempt - thanks for all the answers :)
I'm sure some of them were food ones.

Sheribee, if you think it's an allergy rather than an intolerance then have you asked your GP about a coelliac test?
