i had a suspected fit yesterday and banged my head, i know have toothace which started after i came round. The toothache is on two teeth only and only if i put my tongue on them.
i had a full face x-ray to see if i had broken cheek witch the doctors said was fine.(that is the area that took the brunt of the force)
my question is will the toothache subside then disappear like if you bump an arm or leg or do i have to go to the dentist witch i dont want to do?
thanks murray, soyou just think i've a bruise that will disappear i hope so. could the fact that i have a swollen lip from where i've bitten into have caused the pain because the teeth are not sensitive (yet i pray) to hot or cold drinks.
I'd agree. Tooth aches can be for a variety of reasons and in this case seems to be from a bash. If you can't see damage leave it for a few days to see if it eases. But if it persists, then get it checked.
Any painkiller you don't have an adverse reaction to. Or there are things you can put directly on the tooth, such as clove oil. Or put up with it for a day or two. Try your local chemist.
Get some soluble co-codamol (paracetamol and codeine) from the pharmacy - it seems (at least to me) to work the best of all pain relief products for face/tooth pain.
Do not take for more than three days though as the codeine can be addictive.
{ I think sloopy already has her own clogs, sqad }
My daughter sometimes has a problem with her teeth after a seizure (she has a terrible amount of seizures) depending on the type of seizure you had, I think it is caused by the continued clenching of the teeth during a seizure and putting pressure on the nerves, causing pain, a bit like sqad suggested. I hope it sorts itself out very soon.
