A Decent Hair Removal Machine
37 Answers
I am getting tired of having to keep my chest hair trim and having to ask my wife to shave my back. I was thinking of rather than visiting a clinic to actuually buy a hair lazer machine and do it in house. Has any one ever used them? What are the risks are they easy to use etc? What is a good one to buy.

Waxing is the only solution.
The home laser machines only do a very small area (approx 1" x 2") at each blast and if your back is really that bad it will take forever. They do NOT provide a permanent solution as the hair does grow back, not matter what the blurb says. Admittedly a few hairs may not grow back the the regrowth can be finer. A decent home machine can be bought in Boots/Argos etc for £200-£300 but my opinion is that you go to a salon and have a wax every 6 weeks or so.

OK, I'll give you a serious answer (against my better judgement).

But it isn't quick and you will have to continue using it, if you flog it after a while you'll be back to square one.
