The champers was opened too soon I'm afraid. The consultants explanation & diagnosis given to me today was that of ovarian cancer stage 1c.

Not quite the good news and the all-clear I thought on Tuesday, but could be a lot worse.

No chemo for now, just 3 monthly surveillance.

Fingers crossed for me x

Good news indeed.

I count my blessings, as I know a lovely 35 year old lady in my town who was diagnosed last year with grade 3 ovarian cancer and stage 2 breast cancer - both primaries. She is a single mother of 3 children. She has set up a blog which can be accessed via Facebook and I would recommend every lady on here (and man) to go and have a look. The more the merrier - she is determined to get news out there.

Her FB page is entitled "my name is Maria, 35, and I have stage 2 breast cancer & stage 3 ovarian cancer".

She is an inspiration and if I feel a bit sorry for myself, I just think of that brave lady in a far more unfortunate position than I. She would give her right arm to be in my position.

I really think you can crack out the champagne

grade 1 of anything you have to have really bad luck to die from it - if you get my meaning.

so get the booze popping - and make up a bucket list
remember BeeBee this is a reprieve so get on with living your life !

no chemo ? then you dont have cancer basically.

Since last Tuesday I have actually cracked open 2 bottles of prosecco - one to share with Lil & my daughter, one with Tara-Ra-bum-ti-eh, and the champers with The Captain. Which turned out not to be such a good idea cos I fell off a wall.....
