I am thinking of establishing a petition to ban advertising companies using popular songs in their advertising
This would apply to background music in supermarkets too
Not for the advertisers, they pay royalties and sometimes do us, and the artists and composers, a favour by playing songs which are long forgotten, or unknown to the general public.
I'd ban all 'muzak' (c) from supermarkets, restaurants, hotels, lifts and any other place to which the public have access.
Mamya, not in supermarkets, but I do boogie to the music in fashion shops. I enjoy it, it embarrasses my daughter, and it sometimes amuses the staff. Still don't think the music should be there, though
