My Darling Daughter Update
54 Answers
hi everyone just thought after all your lovely messages on original thread i'd update you .the invasive cancer was removed during a procedure with a hot wire (a colposcopy),it left her with a really bad infection then on top of that she got a urinary tract infection ,last week she had under anaesthetic investigation, results came yesterday she has nasty cells in her cervix still, so she is to have a full hysterectomy asap .including her lymph glands and top of virgina then possibly radiotherepy .we are all utterly relieved it hasn't spread to anywhere else .the only thing that's niggling me is the surgeon can't explain the pain and constant bleeding but he said after op all will be looked at again .oh goodness i;ve rambled on a bit xx

Take courage! I know you will be supporting her in every way you can. Sometimes the best support is just being by their side or on the end of the phone when a mother's closeness is needed. I just wanted to say that I wish your daughter every success with her treatment and you the courage and stamina to face it all with her. Fingers are crossed for a totally positive outcome. xxx
Hi Mallyh... s
Sounds like things are progressing pretty well. I had the exact same treatment [colcoscopy followed by a hysterectomy] but was lucky enough that that was the end of it as mine was contained in the neck of the womb.
I really hope the lymph gland removal and radiotherapy are precautionary as then this awful ordeal can be put behind you.
Please give your daughter my love and tell her from me she can and will get through this :0)
