ACE inhibitors are angiotesin enzyme inhibitors that cause dilation of the blood vessels. Used for hypertension
Also used for hyper tension are the beta blockers that achieve their effect by working on the heart's sympathetic nervous system.

Both are used primarily to treat hypertension, but they do have other uses and Googling the difference here will help you to remember them separately.
Write the definitions down on a postcard-sized piece of card, and carry it about with you (tho not into the exam!)

No there isn't......so try harder.

ACE inhibitors are just for Hypertension....only act on one enzyme.

Beta Blockers act on all beta receptors and they are all over the body in all tissues....hence used for hypertension, heart failure, angina, migraine etc etc....

Must try harder........

thanks guys!! Sqad your're quite right!! Thanks for explanation!! Found some fab explanations on you-tube too!! Its sinking in at last!
ilove....everyone has certain "blind spots"....difficult concepts that seem complex.

As a student an even in my post grad studies I struggled and i would write out, or better still draw a diagram and pin it onto the inside of the toilet door.
Each time that i went to the toilet i would read it until i understood the concept and i would then replace it with another diagram.
