Pacemakers And Storms

My brother has always reckoned that he must not be any where near a storm because of his pacemaker and that people using them are vulnerable because of it. Is this really true or are they no worse off than all of us ?

No....no big deal.....unless of course you are struck by lightening, then the presence or absence of a pacemaker doesn't come into the equation.......;-)

Squad thanks for your answer. Smiled at yours woofgang I will tell him that ! I think he's ott with pacemaker, his wife says if he knows there is a storm about he tries not to go out in it - madness I think. I thought I would ask because we get this every time there is a storm so I can tell him he is being stupid now.
