Do Any Denture Wearers Use..............
10 Answers
Do any denture wearers on here use Sea-Bond to keep their dentures in place? I wondered if I might try it, as I do not find the product I use lasts all day. I would be interested in any opinions that other denture users have.

A trick I would add is to wash and dry the denture well before adding the Fixodent.
This ensures that the Fixodent adheres more strongly to the denture than the roof of your mouth and is then easily removed later along with the denture.

Have you tried the tube with the narrow spout so that you can apply lots of very narrow streaks of paste all over the denture.
I personally would have thought that a thinner coating was better than a thicker one. I don't like it when it oozes over the edges.
I use it mainly if I'm going out for lunch and don't bother too much at home.

I think Seabond is one of the most unhygienic products available! It us just a reservoir for undigested food and I know of not a single dental professional who advises their use. A visit to your GDP should give the best solution as the cause of the loose denture can be determined and remedied. There is often a better solution than simply using more fixative.
