Yes.
Yes, you should...it may not be just "heartburn".
do you notice that you get heartburn after eating certain foods or after excercise? My other half has been complaining for months with heartburn and he's just been told (apart from liver and kidney problems) he has a small hernia which is probably causing the reflux. just noticed sqad has answered but i'm going to submit this anyway even though it's only anecdotal lol
I always think the term 'heartburn' is a bit of an anomaly (as is 'indigestion') I would go to the docs if I was you.
If you have never consulted a gp about this, then yes you should.
You maybe need an endoscopy / gastroscopy. If nothing else, then.for,reassurance.
Don't be concerned about having an endoscopy if the doc recommends it. It's not too bad and you get an instant fedback
Get yourself checked out John. Been there, done that, Rennies are NOT your friend.
It's horrible, but worth it for reassurance
Heartburn ...See the doctor.
Also check your poo is not very dark in colour or black.
I had heart burn for 2 months , some years back and also blackish poo.
Result collapsed and spent 5 nights in hospital.
The acid reflux caused a drip bleed in my throat and slow blood lose.
