I have been suffering from sciatica since the end of May. Last Sunday, I had an "attack" in which I suffered excrutiating pain in my right leg. That reduced to becoming bearable after a couple of days but I have numbness in my right thigh, calf, heel, foot and three of my toes. I can pinch myself really hard and not feel anything in the affected areas. Is this normal? I have not seen my GP as I had meds left over from a previous episode, but this persisting numbness is worrying me somewhat. If anyone can advise, I'd be really grateful. Thanks in advance.

Yes....I can advice.

This sounds like a protruding spinal disc lesion and i would advice you to see your GP as an MRI scan would "sort things out."

Thank you very much Sqad, I shall ring GP in the morning.
Pleasure maaam!
How I sympathise with you, its is awful. I found a little rest and a little moving helped me, but of course we are all different. I suggest you see doc and get some physiotherapy. Mine had improved by the time the appt arrived but I did go and asked what to do if it returned. Problem is I have forgotten them lol!!!!!
