You about? I noticed a bite on my arm yesterday and didn't think anything of it.. Went to bed and had a restless night with it. Very swollen and red, warm to the touch and around the two small bites I'm getting a number of small blisters... (Photo links below). I called at my local trusted Pharmacist this morning and he gave me 12 antihistamine tablets and said to take 2 today, he seemed to think it was OK but the redness and swelling is spreading. Its weeping, a bit painful and hard to the touch.Any Ideas would be very welcome.

mazie, I had a similar bite a few weeks ago. You have got the antibiotics, thats good but can I suggest you apply some manuka honey to the area and cover with a bandage? It will aid in the healing of the skin -a bit messy but worth a try and will do you no harm.

thank goodness it's the infections that have caused the problems and nothing sinister ,big relief .she IS feeling better today .thanks for asking xx

Pleased you got it sorted mazie...flucloxiwatsit makes me feel rough so that's why I do my best to avoid bites developing. Keep some antihistamines in your cabinet.

Hi Robinia... I have to take the antibiotics and I also have to carry on with the antihistamine.... I hate taking tablets :o(
