Chicken Pox 3Rd Time
16 Answers
My eldest has had it 3 times and youngest twice. Why are they having it so much. Is it because their immune system cannot fight it? what do I do? They both have them today, big red angry looking spots.

I thouht that it would be a good idea to actually have it recorded in her medical records but the receptionist said it wasn't necessary to do that either. I then asked for some medication for her and so ended up taking her to the gp for anti-hystemines as she was under 2 years old and they have to be on prescription, whilst i was in there i asked the gp to confirm it was indeed chicken pox, which he did., he also said don't use calamine as it spreads the rash and makes it worse, he said use the anti-hystemine instead twice a day. Why it is not necessary to add to the notes i don;t know, how will they ever know the statistics on chicken pox, or will they just guess?
Sqad the GP's receptionist needs telling that then. Mind you, there wasn't much going on there, she had to ask me how to spell histamine and i didn't know whether it was a y or an i (but that was better than her version), but then i sell books not work in a doctors surery.

Kids gp has seen them both and confirmed they are chicken pox. I told hime they have had it, but he didn't seem that concerned, we got a wedding to go to on sun, kids were looking forward to it. I told them we may not go now. Poor things are itchy and now fast asleep. I put calamine lotion in their bath water, which helped, then i dabbed it on the spots.
