Best idea is to go and see your practice nurse. They will know all the injections you need and answer any fears you may have.
NaTHNaC is the official body (funded by the Foreign & Commonwealth Office) providing health advice for travellers.

Here's their advice for Kenya
http://www.nathnac.org/ds/c_pages/country_page_KE.htm
and here's their (very detailed) leaflet about Yellow Fever Vaccination, which does NOT list age as a factor precluding treatment:

You have the links provided.

From the trip that you describe above.....I personally would not have Yellow Fever "jabs."........................
I seem to recall when I went to Kenya that I had to provide a yellow fever vaccination certificate. However, this was about 13 years ago so things may have changed.
>>>when I went to Kenya that I had to provide a yellow fever vaccination certificate

Certificates are only required for travellers arriving from a country with a risk of Yellow Fever transmission (indicated by 'Yes' in the first column here: http://www.nathnac.org/ds/c_pages/documents/WHOYFrisk2011.pdf ). They aren't required for visitors arriving directly from the UK.
You are going to lake areas where mozzies thrive. If I was you, I would get the jab.

I have taken some advice now and I think I will give it a miss as apparently the risk is minimal and there has been no outbreak since 1995. Thank you all for your contributions.
