Diabetis Test.

My doc's told me Im borderline diabetic and is making an appointment for me to have a test at the hospital. He said I will be given a measured dose of something..I cant remember sorry, and I have to stay at the clinic for at least 6 hours. I have to fast before I go. Do anyone know what the potion is that I'll be given. I forgot to ask my gp. Thanks.

I didn't realise it was 6 hours, but they need to take blood samples at repeated intervals of 30 mins for 3 hours and this gives a graph of how your body is getting rid of the glucose.

The shape of that curve will give the diagnosis.
