Very Erratic Blood Pressure Readings

My husband went to doc last week and she checked his blood pressure and it was very low (something over 60 something) and his blood sugar was 2.2. He doesn't really eat anything so she told him he must have 2 Fortisips per day. Anyway, I have a blood pressure monitor at home and his readings have been shocking, very low one min and very high the next. Mine is always around the same (so I know it's not a dodgy monitor). 145/96 and 134/90 were his readings just now at Pharmacy but I bet it will be really low when we check it later.

The meds he currently takes are Baclofen, Lyrica, Prozac and Oramorph. Could meds be affecting it at all? Argh, something else to worry about now :(

He will go to docs tomorrow and I presume they will give him a blood pressure monitor to wear. What could they do though if it's high one min and low the next? Thanks

That is indeed the next step and will settle the BP problem......I cannot think of ANY medocal condition that gives fluctuating BP readings.

Thank you, my lovely. Well, he went to GP and blood pressure was normal. He told my husband to keep an eye on it (which we will do) and he can speak to his usual Doc when he next sees her.

Crikey that's a low sugar level. I'm type 1 diabetic and if my blood sugar level was that low I wouldn't be far off passing out and going into a coma.
