They said upper lobe removal, the mass is in the top of his right lung.

Update on Mr F.
Just rang the hospital, he is back from recovery, they kept him there a while to make sure the hours of anaesthetic had had no ill effects.
He has asked for, and been given, two cups of tea.
They have given him a pain relief machine, and he has an epidural line in.
They seem to be looking after him very well. Will visit tomorrow.
