Many years since I had a proper holiday but when I used to go for a week on the Med I found one a day enabled me to skip lunch or just grab a snack, as it set me up for the day.
I think we have a large variation of cuisine these days, but eating out aside I suspect most start with something light in the morning, have a main meal at some point with meat & veg, and a lighter meal at some other time. We should all aspire to a proper balanced meat & veg balanced dinner at some point in the day, save for the vegetarians who can aspire to a veg & veg meal. Makes one part way to ones five a day aim.
