Hepatitis B Anything To Worry About After 14 Years

Hi there
I am wondering how long it takes for HEP B symptoms to appear after infection I was in touch with a former lover this week I last dated them 14 years ago and we were in a committed relationship for 8 months so did not use condoms. He told me that last week he tested positive for HEP B. I have no liver problems apart from fatty liver disease Ive been told that is down to type 2 diabetes and obesity but now I am starting to wonder. Surely though I would have problems before now.

gordie........although one should never say never.........the chances of your "liver problem" being as a result of Hep B infection 14 years ago, is virtually nil.
