Try googling "stopping smoking bowels" as I did, and see what comes up.
The two may be completely unrelated, in which case you might want to check with your GP.

yes will do I guess there lot to get rid of as been smoking since I was 15 and im 38 now. so I guess it all in the course of stopping. but if it don't ease up ill go see a gp just to double cck all ok etc . thanks all for your help. I do drink tea but not much. but for a bit ill stick to water and decent food for while see if that helps out abit to
Just wanted to add my congratulations to the OP, and as others already said, whatever bowel inconvenience you have at the moment is nothing to worry about, compared with not giving up!
I was really lucky - I quit back in 1989, after smoking for about 27 years, and the worst side effect was putting on about 10 lb of body weight, but that came off again when I retired from a rather sedentary job. One surprise that I got during the first year may be worth forewarning you about - many months after I'd stopped, I visited a place that I had last been to when I still smoked, and the craving suddenly hit me again!
