While I am not a great drinker, I would like a glass of wine. I am taking ( later ) Dihydrocodeine to help with my pain. This doesn't take all my pain away or make me sleep. Am I likely to feel worse if I have a tot or is it just not worth it ?
Hi flump, although I'm rarely against a drink with meds, unless it specifically says. With a google on NHS sites, it does say avoid alcohol with Dihydrocodeine. Can cause severe nausea /sickness.
Dihydrocodeine has all sorts of effects including constipation and nausea. My time on it convinced me it's only value was to stop you caring about anything. I'd be tempted to lay off any booze while taking this drug, but I'm not a medic.
Thanks Mosaic, I value Pixies opinion and her advice was similar...tea will do nicely ! My pain threshold is such at present that painkillers are not affording me total comfort, just where I can get comfy. Don't want to spoil that throwing up later. x
Hi flump
Sorry to hear you are in pain .Hope you get some relief soon .I think we've spoken before .I've recently been to pain management as nothing is helping .
