Bubbles In Blood?

a friend had a blood test and the lady who took it said she had champagne blood because the tube was full of bubbles, does anyone know why this is? thanks

No big deal.....just that the phlebotomist (blood taker) had allowed our into the syringe..........it happens.
The 'bubbling" was probably caused by the force of the vacuum in the tube.
"our" should be "air."
stuey's answer is the better.
