Blocked Ear For Nearly A Week Now.......

I have had a blocked ear and one side of my nose for nearly a week now, feels like I want it to pop, and is making me feel dizzy.. I have been taking decongestants daily but it has not cleared it...I have had a slight temperature and bit of a headache too, but don't want to bother the doctor as I don't feel too bad. I have tried steaming also to no avail..any advice?

Possibly an ear infection. go see your GP, it may get considerably worse and painful if you ignore it.

Oh I always thought ear infections were painful ? I have no pain......thanks for your answer.

Decongestants? Do you mean tablets?

If you do then they will not help, but decongestants such as Otrovine Nasal spray used on the blocked side of the nose every 4 hours during the day, should fix it. If no improvement after a week....see you GP.

I agree, it doesn't sound like an ear infection.

Nasal spray and sudafed tablets..not helped yet

Ah! OK.....stop the Sudafed tablets and " double up" on the dose and frequency of the nasal spray....just on the affected side and still give it a week.
