Verucca Problem
8 Answers
My husband has had a verruca for over two years. The doctor said he won't do anything and to treat it with over the counter medication.
So over the last two years my husband has treated it with various treatments but the darned thing is still there.
It's been frozen, medicated and goodness knows what else but nothing works.
Any suggestions please?

Eventually I went to a private chiropodist who scrapped the area and applied some sort of ointment, covered the lot with a dressing and a few days later it had all died off. My feet are great now, never had a problem since.
Was it the GP that froze it?

I had one on the ball of my foot for years, had it 'removed' by chiropodists and treated it myself but every time it re-appeared. Then I read somewhere about them being removed by the use of duct tape and sceptically gave it a try.
I used the kind which is silver in colour with a sticky white backing, cut a circular piece about 1 inch diameter, kept it on day and night until usually after about 3 days it came off and I then replaced it with a new piece. I did this for about 3 months and now, 6 months later I am cured, with no sign of it re-appearing.

I've had one for about five years and recently decided to try and get it removed. I've had it frozen by a chiropodist four times with no success so he's told me to use Salactol every other day and file it down each time. You have to buy it over the counter & paint it in. I've been using it for 2 weeks but no change yet. I've read a lot about the success of the duct tape though so I might try that as well as the Salactol.

Hi all, many thanks for the suggestions.
Doctor not done anything at all. We had to try the freezing method at home with stuff from the chemist but it didn't work even after repeated attempts. Maybe give the chiropodist a try or the duct tape method!
Prudie, not sure we can face the picking with a needle idea!!
