My uncle recently had surgery to remove cancer from his bowel.
He was given a reversible stoma and thankfully has the all clear without the need for chemo/radiotherapy - was caught very early and the rest of the bowel is clear.
Because of his situation he is not a priority for the reversal surgery and this could be another month or two.
They have a long haul holiday booked for March and therefore due to recovery time advised after surgery, he either has the surgery this month or he wont be able to travel. So the decision he has taken is to go on holiday with stoma still attached and look to have the reversal in April after the holiday.

Now, here is the issue. After being up front with the usual insurance companies, nobody will insure him to travel in current state.
Of course there is a risk of infection or complications for him whilst abroad, but he assumed that a high premium would need to be paid, but ultimately he could get covered for the trip.

So does anybody know of a company that could insure??
He will go regardless as he is used to the stoma and sees the risk as low (worst case scenario hop on the next available flight home).
H really needs this break, cancelling is not an option, if for financial reasons alone!!

Brilliant thank you.
I have sent him these links.
The stumbling block he hit with insurers so far is that he is "cancer free" and the stoma isn't due to be permanent, he just hasn't completed surgery yet. Hopefully he can sort this out.
Goodtogoinsurance will insure cancer (even when it has spread). So will AllClear insurance. Or he could take the risk of travelling with insurance that excludes his medical condition. Not many mainstream insurers will allow that now but Insureandgo do. I expect he`s running into problems with the "Are you currently awaiting treatment" question.
