Bad Teeth In The Uk

Why? I'm on the net all the time and keep hearing from my US buddies that us brits have bad teeth. Every day I watch the Jeremy Kyle show and I'm horrified at how people who have access to great and free dentists allow their teeth to get in that state.

Don't they have any shame and their multiple partners kiss those?

I saw a program the other day about some nomad Africans who had nothing and their teeth were as white and clean fresh snow!

I have a terrible set of teeth; quite a few missing, gap-toothed smile, dislodged fillings, etc etc. Not because i'm lazy but because i have had one or two 'bad' experiences in the dreaded chair which have left me petrified of the dentist. Irrational i know, but most phobias are irrational.

I am getting 4 teeth on a chrome wire thingmajig. It alone has cost me £1,200 not to mention other payments maybe another thousand on deep cleaning. Like others I am truly petrified but had no choice to go as I was in deep pain.

I got in to such a state before going yesterday I brought on a vertigo attack and while dentist was doing impressions in my mouth ( I just thought a bit of blue-tac lol) it was an hour long job. I started to gag and ended up vomiting for about 5 minutes before I could continue.

The dentist is a lovely girl and she was brilliant with me - I just hate them all. JjCon

the lady on JK with those huge buck teeth, no way would she be able to afford the work that needs to be done, its going to cost megabucks. I often think its a plus to get on the JK show to have rotten teeth and as most of them are on the dole they can get the basic work done for free.
I needed implants for all my top teeth I got three estimates here, cheapest was £29,000, I went to Poona India [ the implant centre of India] it took 3 visits and with air fares [ not hotels] and all the work done 17 teeth in all as a couple on the bottom needed the same treatment the whole thing came to £13,000 .The clientele were Americans, Germans, Hawaiians,& Swedes I don't think the locals could afford her.
