bids? Birds !
If your kitten has a tape worm you will eventually see what looks like a grain of rice around the anus. This is the worm shedding an egg (I know its gross). They can only pick up tape-worms through a host animal such as a mouse or bird so if the kitten is an inside kitten she's less likely to have a tapeworm. I would ring the vet for advice, from experience they are quite happy to give free worming advice over the phone.
They seem to pick up worms anywhere. Yes, look out for 'rice grains' where she lies, other symptoms can be loss of coat, eating plenty but losing condition. I tend to de-worm regularly just in case. Worms can be left present by animal faeces even if the said faeces has gone. This time of year they are all shedding their coats regularly anyway! A 3 month gap should be fine (check your wormer for instructions).
wild birds carry worms and shed the eggs in their poo. If your kitten eats grass or plays in it, there is a risk that she will pick up work eggs that way. What does your vet say?
