BTW, flowers can never be wrong at any age. They are always acceptable. Does she like chocs? If so, a nice box of Fortnum and Mason champagne truffles. Maybe a nice bottle champagne(not Moet krap!) or a case of nice wine. Please though, do NOT give her anything old lady-ish. Save that for when she's 90 !

OMG I was 60 last year and I would hate anything suggested other than the kart racing! I'd rather go horse racing or a night out at the dogs, and although its not for me something like a balloon flight? Remember those who are now 60 grew up during the sixties and most probably still hanker after those days!
just because we are 60...or 70 ..... or 80, doesn't mean you can define us by age.
If you don't know what she wants then ask your dad, or ask her, or send her a £50 note in a card labelled 'experience voucher'. But maybe she'd hate that and prefer a surprise.
People are surprisingly different.
If it was me I'd rather have a 'no presents pact'. Or a ticket to a folk event. Or maybe a donation in my name to a charity. Or a promise to do something interesting together the next time we met.

Dancecaller.. I'm not defining 'YOU" by age at all... I was simply asking the question.. to any ladies who are in thier 60's for any idea's.. thought they might have given idea's .. if there was maybe a pressy they would have liked, that they didn't get.. If we were having a 'no present pact' birthday.. I wouldn't have asked for idea's !! have a good weekend Mrs C x
