Keep Taking The Tablets

Why can't instructions on medication labels be more straightforward, we are working out the following instructions! Take one tablet twice a day for one week, (so that is two tablets per day) then increase each week until taking four tablets twice a day, so does that mean three tablets a day the next week and four tablets a day in the fourth week or is it four tablets twice a day making that eight tablets a day?

I have no idea.......I think it means for you to interpret it anyway you wish.........not that it probably matters how you interpret it......;-)

We often have advice on AB concerning a consultation with the Pharmacist........well if there is ever a good reason to do this....this is it.

I think you should return to your pharmacist to explain. I'm almost certain it would be either 2 tablets 4 times daily or 1 tablet 4 times daily, somehow I couldn't imagine taking 4 of the same tablet in one sitting (unless it was steroids or something)

Seems pretty straightforward to me...
One tablet twice a day for a week
Two tablets twice a day for the next week
Three tablets twice a day for the next week
Four tablets twice a day for the next week.
According to what you are saying, the instructions tell you to increase the tablets until you are taking four tablets twice a day.
What don't you understand?

Also agree with Ethandron - one thing I would say is that if at any time any effects of the increase become a problem , report back to the GP.

Maybe - there are many many people who like you do everything right,but still they are struck by illness and disease.

Positive thought is indeed wonderful but there is no science that it can stop viruses, cancers and other things from occurring.
