and two things happened to cause brain-freeze.

1) I heard a grossly overweight + heavily tattoed girl calling for her female child to behave...the child's name was Sambucca.

2) I saw and just had to buy a Chicken Tikka Lasagne, even though my brain had difficulty processing the concept ;)

A couple I knew were expecting a baby girl, and we're trying to think of names. Chardonnay, Harmony, Kayleigh and all the other usual suspects had been suggested. 'What about Chlamydia?' I suggested. They seriously thought about it.

nope Bazile...absolutely certain...I never touch the stuff ;)
Never had one but it is one of their best sellers - let us know.
About a month ago I think I heard someone call their child Sambucca as well, Bathsheba. If it wasn't that, it was something similar. Beyond belief.
I know of someone who has just named their daughter Ptarmigan. I'd love to know where her parents were when she was conceived?!?!
Question Author
@ Mamya....well it was only 89p, + it's 500gr, so it's a cheap meal if it's nice ;)

I bet Ptarmigan will get goosed when she is older!!
Wasn't there a Sambuca in that school programme....Waterloo Road? Maybe came from there.....

I did tell people my second was to be named after my tipple.....☺
Just wondering what the 'grossly overweight and tattooed girl' has to do with the name of the child, spose it could add that touch of ambience to your statement lol.
Question Author
@ bookbinder...yes, indeed.
@ mallyh...lol!
@Stephen...it does beggar belief

There was a girl called Grayling in the primary school I worked in....seems animals names for humans aren't that rare then.
Lol Bathsheba....not snobbery just wondering why descriptions are always necessary in some related stories....at least you have a GSOH X
